Green Island herbal soaps Green Island uses only all natural glycerin soap for its unique Curaçao-made herbal products. The “white” (opaque) soap is colored with titanium dioxide, a harmless natural colorant. It also contains shea butter or karité, an African nut butter very nourishing to the skin. These soaps are therefore very good for dry skin. The see-through soaps with Eucalyptus and Sweet Basil contain Sodium Laureth Sulfate. Without this, the soap is not really see-through. All other soaps do not contain any surfactants and may well be the gentlest soaps in the world. Wild sage: regulating, balancing, good for dry skin and pimples. Our Wild Sage (Croton flavens) bush has been used for centuries by the natives to regulate hormone problems in animals as well as humans, promoting stability. In small quantities it can be useful for regulating sebum production that can lead to acne. Clary Sage (Salvia sclarea) essential oil helps to clear the skin and regulate its sebum production.
